ARE THE PROSTHETICS REUSABLE?

No, encapsulated silicone prosthetics are designed to give a perfect blend into the skin when applied well. However the fine edge is destroyed when the prosthetic is removed so you cannot then reapply it. I also wouldn’t recommend trying to reuse prosthetics for hygiene reasons.

WHAT SKIN TONE DO I NEED?

I offer six shades for each prosthetic, as these are generic shades you will likely need to paint them to match the desired skin tone once applied. If you’re not sure which will work best I’d recommend going for a lighter shade as it’s easier to colour up than down.

DO THEY CONTAIN LATEX?

No, none of the JessFX products contain latex and should not contain anything that would cause a reaction. However the glues and other products you’ll need to apply them could.

Always do a patch test of your products in advance.

DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?

I now ship to a limited number of countries due to the recent change in shipping laws in the EU. I’m also unable to sell to customers in countries that Royal Mail doesn’t offer tracked shipping for.

HOW LONG IS DELIVERY?

Processing times are usually 1-3 working days though can take longer if I’m particularly busy.

Once the order has been made and dispatched it should arrive within a couple of working days if you are in the UK.

Overseas shipping can take anywhere from 4 to 30 days to arrive once dispatched.

If you are short on time please get in contact before placing your order to see if it’s achievable in the timeframe and to discuss alternative delivery options.

I’M A BEGINNER, WHERE DO I START?

I’d recommend purchasing the pdf guide that corresponds to the products you’re looking to try before placing your order. Prosthetics can be tricky if you’ve not used them before so it would be good to see what you’ll be getting into. The guides also contain a list of recommended products.

I also have a few video tutorials available which should help.

CAN THE MOULDS BE REUSED?

Yes! That is their main purpose, they can be used over and over again. Just be sure to clean and store them properly.

CAN I USE THE MOULDS TO MAKE SILICONE PROSTHETICS?

You can certainly try however they were intended for use with bondo so the detail is often very subtle. It may be hard to get such fine pieces done in silicone.

HOW LONG DOES THE BONDO TAKE TO CURE?

It can take a day or longer depending on how deep the mould is and the conditions they are kept in. You want to avoid leaving them somewhere cold and damp. I prefer a box with a lid in the airing cupboard.

You can use a food dehydrator on a very low setting to speed up curing. Always do a test first to make sure you won’t get bubbles.

You can also fill deeper moulds in two stages, let the first layer fully cure before adding the rest of the bondo.
